2023 2022 2021 | Dec Nov Oct Sep Aug Jul Next Previous

Introduction

Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!

Activision Blizzard Staff Respond

1,000 Activision Blizzard staff have signed an open letter condemning the official reply from Activision Blizzard regarding the harassment lawsuit that came out a few days ago. Basically, if you read through the official reply from Blizzard, it didn't really answer the concerns. Moreover, it defended the issue and even suggested that almost they were being harassed by the state of California over this lawsuit. The staff of outright condemned it. Good on you Activision Blizzard staff are doing that, and but we have to. again, as I've said in the previous episodes, we have to just wait and see what happens when it goes through the legal system. As I said before, I just really don't think the state of California has done this, if they didn't feel that there was real grounds to do so. Simple as that. But I wasn't there. I'm not a lawyer. We will see how this plays out in the future.

Deathloop Rating

The next bit of news for today is Deathloop has had its ESRB rating, and basically with the ESRB, the way it works is they basically go into all aspects of the game and or TV shows, movies, whatever to give it a full rating. And sometimes those ratings can actually give away things that are gonna be in the release before you even know. You might see some headlines basically saying that the rating giving to Deathloop suggest is actually going to be some spicy content in there. Obviously I won't go into detail, but basically it's interesting the way that these ratings can do that.

Resident Evil Village PC Fix

And then the last bit of news for today is Resident Evil Village has finally got a steam patch for PC, and basically it has fixed the performance issues. So Digital Foundry made a really good video explaining what was causing the performance hits and how the patch has now fix them, and it was to do with the anti piracy software, simple as that. It was causing too many issues with the release of the game. So if you're still interested in Resident Evil Village and you wanted to check it out on PC, but it wasn't working on PC, download the patch and then see how well it works now compared to before. And I loved Resident Evil Village. I even got the Platinum Trophy for it. Mercenaries Hard mode was very difficult, very challenging, but generally it was worth the time to play it. And I would say it's a worthy sequel to the franchise and to the series. Check out Resident Evil Village if you haven't already.

Conclusion

That's all for my roundup of the latest gaming news. What do you think? Are any of these stories big deals in your opinion? Let me know by leaving a comment on the video. And don't forget to check back tomorrow for more exciting gaming news!
