Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters, Dead Space Remake Director, PS5 M.2 SSD Support | Gaming News

Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!

Dead Space Remake Director

Eric Baptizat, who was the director behind Assassin's Creed Valhalla, is now directing Dead Space Remake. He left Ubisoft to join EA Motive, who are creating Dead Space Remake. And I think it's in good hands. because Assassin's Creed Valhalla, in my opinion, was an amazing game. I really, really enjoyed playing it. I played it on my PlayStation 5. I spent 160 hours, I got the Platinum Trophy. So we'll see what comes out with Dead Space Remake.

PS5 M.2 SSD Support

The next bit of news for today, PlayStation 5 is working on adding M.2 SSD support for the expansion slot. So M.2 SSDs are the sort of little chips that are super super fast, and even as well Sony have said that they recommend SSDs, which have a 5.5 gigs per second read speed minimum. So they want really fast SSDs. But the thing is that even if SSDs meet the minimum requirements, it doesn't necessarily mean that they will work with PlayStation 5 specifically. But it just means that the 1 TB that we generally have as the default will be able to expand it in the future. And I believe Xbox are working on expansion cards as well. That's coming in the future. And I think that's going to become more of an issue the older the console gets, the more space you need for more games. The second I get platinum trophies, I uninstall games just to make space.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters

The last bit of news for today is Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters for Final Fantasy 1, 2, and 3 have released as of 28 Jul 2021 on Steam, iOS and Android. Personally, I'm hoping for a PlayStation version just so that I can get trophies. So what they are basically is just modern remasters of the original Final Fantasy games 1, 2, and 3. And I believe there is actual work going on Final Fantasy 4, 5, and 6 to have their own Pixel remasters in the future, and I will communicate as well with Square Enix about that in the future, because I am a Square Enix partner. We'll see in the future what that means. And you might see some articles coming out that people are not satisfied with the fonts which are available in the game at the moment. But because it's a Steam version or PC version, people are already modding it to have different fonts. I find that kind of funny.

That's all for my roundup of the latest gaming news. What do you think? Are any of these stories big deals in your opinion? Let me know by leaving a comment on the video. And don't forget to check back tomorrow for more exciting gaming news!
