Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!
Activision Blizzard Staff Fired
The Diablo IV Director, along with lead designer Luis Barriga and Jesse McCree, have been fired from Blizzard, along with a World of Warcraft designer called Jonathan LeCraft. The reason the three of them were fired is regarding the ongoing lawsuit and the harassment claims and stuff like that, so we will see. And there has been a picture going around of a group of them, including McCree, LeCraft, who were at BlizzCon in 2013 in a hotel room with a picture over their bed of Bill Cosby. And they called it the "Cosby Suite". Now think what you like of it. I think it's personally just gross, especially with all the other revelations we've had since then. But of course I wasn't there. I don't know. You have to just wait and see what justice decides to deliver for these men. So either way Blizzard has now distanced themselves from these three individuals. And I don't think that's going to be the end of it either. Like I said yesterday, I think we're going to see more people get fired, more people held to account, more people or former employees or current employees of other game companies coming out and telling their stories. And hopefully, it's a wave that will continue so that we can route out this problem in the gaming industry.
GTA Trilogy Remasters
The next bit of news for today is apparently Rockstar are working on a GTA remaster of three games. So GTA III, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. I'm very happy about that because I was told yesterday that I would really love to see a remaster of GTA III because I haven't played it since the PlayStation 2 era. But I absolutely loved it is one of my favorite games that I would love to play GTA III again. If it's remastered. Great.
Twitch Actions
And then the last bit of news for today is Twitch have come out, and I've made a video about it on my main channel talking about what they're trying to do towards the issue of hate rating and so on. The news is sort of very negative today, but it's about what these companies are doing to take action about it. And I think that is really important. At least they're doing something. Some people really don't like it when I try to defend or try to explain the action of these companies, but I'm just trying to be impartial. But more than that, I'm trying to be realistic. I think that's really important in this situation is to be realistic of your expectations of what these companies can do, won't do, and so on. And we'll see you in the future if things improve. Simple as that.
Conclusion
That's all for my roundup of the latest gaming news. What do you think? Are any of these stories big deals in your opinion? Let me know by leaving a comment on the video. And don't forget to check back tomorrow for more exciting gaming news!
