505 Games Publisher Sale, Take Two Suing GTA Reverse Engineers, SedyTo Feature | Gaming News
Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!
Take Two Suing GTA Reverse Engineers
Take Two Interactive, who is a parent company behind Rockstar, who created the Grand Theft Auto franchise are suing reverse-engineered versions of GTA III and Vice City. They are fan-based projects that have been in development for a while now and in February of this year they actually issued a DMCA takedown to try and get the source code off of GitHub because that's where the source code was being distributed. But they received a counter notification basically saying that from the developers that they're not using any of the code from Rockstar, therefore it's not Copyright infringement. Copyright infringement, in my belief, I'm not a lawyer goes to the actual design of the game, the characters in the game, the name not just the code used. We'll see how this plays out in court because when a counter notification is received, the next course of action by the publisher or the owner or Copyright owner is to take either legal action or to walk away. And in this situation Take Two have decided to take legal action. Simple as that. We'll see.
505 Games Publisher Sale
The next bit of news for today is 505 Games are doing a publisher sale on Steam. 505 Games have published such games as Death Stranding PC or Control Ultimate Edition or Bloodstained (and more). If you right now go on to the Bloodstained store page on Steam, you will find a video of me! 505 Games approached me to make a let's play of the first 30 minutes of the game and I'm joined on the video by my friend KenpoMom, and we talk about the game, how it is. KenpoMom gives an insight of how it compares to previous Castlevania games, if you've ever played those in the past and it was fun to make the video. Check it out!
This week's feature is going to go to my friend SedyTo. SedyTo is a variety streamer on Twitch and she also has a YouTube channel. You can find her everywhere with the name SedyTo. Check her out. She's a really good friend of mine and she makes really like funny content. It's very entertaining. It's very interesting. She's definitely worth checking out!
That's all for my roundup of the latest gaming news. What do you think? Are any of these stories big deals in your opinion? Let me know by leaving a comment on the video. And don't forget to check back tomorrow for more exciting gaming news!
