Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!
FFXIV Live Letter 66
Last night was the Letter from the Producer Live number 66 for Final Fantasy XIV. They have live streams every now and then where they talk about the game, the state of the game, and so on. And because we're getting closer to the next expansion Endwalker, there's more emphasis on the expansion. Last night they spoke about the job battle classes. They said about the refinements they're doing to the game, how they're changing the jobs and so on. They also released a almost 20 minutes video showing off the job actions. They release the job action trailer before each expansion to show what the skills will look like in the expansion as well. If you want, you can check it out and so on. It's a very long live stream. If you are interested in a particular class then try and find that bit where they spoke about the update to your class of preference. If you have one class you prefer. And we have to wait until November before we can see information about updates to crafting, gathering and PvP. I guess we will see.
Neil Druckmann The Last of Us TV Show
The next bit of news for today is Neil Druckmann, who was the creative director behind The Last of Us games, has been listed as one of the directors for The Last of US TV show that's coming to HBO. There's going to be a live-action TV show of The Last of Us. And Neil Druckmann is helping simple as that, which is great because even though he directed the games, it makes sense he should be involved with the TV show as well.
Twitch Music Deal
And then the last bit of news for today is Twitch is working on a similar deal that I recently announced about Facebook Gaming when it comes to music rights and music groups. The idea is is that Twitch might, this is all speculation at this point, soon be announcing a partnership with all these different music labels so that they can work together with the music labels so that they don't have to be so stressed about DMCA. Basically people are speculating that part of the reason why these companies were forcing thousands of DMCA notices on Twitch was because they were trying to force Twitch to the negotiation table because similar deals have already been reached with YouTube and Facebook and so on. I guess Twitch is the next one on their radar. Simple as that. We'll see what that means for the future. We will see if destroying all the VOD and clips was an unnecessary practice in the long run. But whatever if it didn't happen then my let's play channel on YouTube wouldn't have been born. There is always good from bad in every situation.
Conclusion
That's all for my roundup of the latest gaming news. What do you think? Are any of these stories big deals in your opinion? Let me know by leaving a comment on the video. And don't forget to check back tomorrow for more exciting gaming news!
