FFXVI Washington Post Interview, Dragonflight Release Date, Metaverse Standards Forum | Gaming News

Dragonflight Release Date

Hello, guys, and welcome to the Gaming News for 22 Jun 2022. The next expansion for World of Warcraft called Dragonflight will be releasing this year. That's according to the preorder store page that Activision Blizzard have now activated. It says "World of Warcraft Dragonflight will be available on or before 31 Dec 2022. When there is a definitive release date. I'll be sure to report it on the Gaming News.

Metaverse Standards Forum

And the next bit of news for today is the Metaverse Standards Forum has now been launched with a slogan saying "Multiple industry leaders have stated that the potential of the Metaverse will be best realized if it is built on a foundation of open standards, open to any organization at no cost. Metaverse Standards Forum provides a venue for cooperation between standards organizations and companies to foster the development of interoperability standards for an open inclusive Metaverse and accelerate their development and deployment through pragmatic action based projects." The Metaverse, think of the movie Ready Player One, is like an online world environment. Different companies have already given their idea of what they would like to see in the Metaverse including Meta or Facebook. And looking at the list of founding members it also includes Sony for PlayStation and Microsoft for Xbox. When there's more information about it and if there's any real solid project that comes out of it then I'll be sure to report it on the Gaming News.

FFXVI Washington Post Interview

And last bit of news for today is Naoki Yoshida, otherwise known as Yoshi P who is the Producer and Director of Final Fantasy XIV and is leading the development of Final Fantasy 16, has had an interview with the Washington Post. In the interview he went through the various challenges Final Fantasy has faced over the years, the evolution of the combat especially. And he spoke about how they are bringing in the expertise of Ryota Suzuki who is known for designing the combat for Devil May Cry 5 in order to help make sure that the combat is as fluid as possible for FFXVI. I would recommend to head over to the Washington Post website and check out the interview. It's very interesting interview to read. Anyway, guys, that's it for the Gaming News for today. Thank you so much, as always, to all the new followers and I will see you tomorrow. Thanks guys, bye bye.
