Apparently Microsoft have identified the bug, which was causing save files to get lost for Baldur's Gate 3 on Xbox. Microsoft will be releasing a firmware update across the Xbox platform, which you can download manually from the 16 Jan 2024 or will be released automatically on the 23 Jan 2024. Hopefully, this will fix the save game issue for Xbox, but Larian Studios haven't independently verified it yet. As for save files which have already been lost, I don't know if they can be recovered. In the meantime, you can set up a Larian account and connect your Xbox account to it to enable Cloud saving via Larion Studios, if you wish. Have you played Baldur's Gate 3?
