The Director of Black Myth Wukong has explained why the game has been delayed on Xbox. Xbox have mandated that any game that comes out on the Xbox Series X also has to be able to come out on the Xbox Series S. The Director of Black Myth Wukong has said that the limited memory on the Xbox Series S is preventing them to be able to optimize the game for the console. If they can't release it on Xbox Series S, then the Xbox Series X version will be delayed further.
