The Producer of Final Fantasy 16 was interviewed about the success of Claire Obscur Expedition 33. During the interview, the Anime News Network asked Naoki Yoshida, if Final Fantasy will go back to turn based combat. Naoki Yoshida has stated that there's no fixed answer, because there's several elements of the game that they have to consider before making such a decision. Ironically, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 was influenced by the older Final Fantasy games, especially Final Fantasy 10.
