Larian Studios did an Ask Me Anything about the upcoming Divinity. They compared it a lot to Baldur's Gate 3 because Divinity is going to be moving away from the Dungeons and Dragons ruleset. Instead they're going to be making their own ruleset, which is designed specifically for Divinity, but that will enhance it further, make it more enjoyable for players. They also spoke about the use of Generative AI and confirmed it won't be used to generate any art for the game, but might be used in other areas. They confirmed that co op will be available on release and that they're already working on mod support for the game as well. Whether mod support will be available or not at release, we'll have to wait and see. They also spoke about the size of the team, saying that they had just over 400 people working on Baldur's Gate 3 and now they have more than 500 people working on Divinity.
