The developers of Highguard have announced that the game will be shutting down permanently. While 2 million players tried the action hero shooter, ultimately it didn't live up to the high expectation put on it. Paying a million dollars for a premium ad from The Game Awards does not guarantee success, it just means a lot of people will try the game. Highguard will be shutting down on 12 Mar 2026.
