GTA Trilogy Out Now, Escape from Tarkov New Engine, Elden Ring Network Test Footage | Gaming News

Escape from Tarkov New Engine

Hello, guys, and welcome to the Gaming News for 11 Nov 2021. Battlestate Games are updating the engine of Escape from Tarkov from Unity 2018 to Unity 2019. They sent out a tweet saying that "We have started the installation of patch [...]. In this patch we have upgraded the game engine from Unity 2018 to Unity 2019" and then they follow up by saying "The patch installation is complete. We remind that in this patch we have migrated to Unity 2019 and it does not contain any new game mechanics, content, graphic changes or optimizations. All of this, including DLSS, is planned to be released in upcoming patches." They're obviously still in the process of doing the upgrade fully from one engine to the other. And it's a welcome thing for games to upgrade their engines. For example, I would really like to see an engine upgrade for Final Fantasy XIV because it's starting to age, but yeah, so good.

Elden Ring Network Test Footage

And then the next bit of news for today is footage for the Elden Ring Network Test is now being released by big content creators. They're not allowed to stream it, but they're allowed to make thought videos and hopefully soon the restrictions on it will loosen so people can actually stream it to show you what the game is like if you didn't get into the network test. If you're excited, then check out the videos. Notable content creators who've uploaded videos already are people like theRadBrad or Maximilian Dood, so you can check out their videos and their thoughts on the Elden Ring test, if you're interested.

GTA Trilogy Out Now

The last bit of news for today is GTA Trilogy - The Definitive Edition launches today and it launches in about 30 minutes after creating of this video. I'm looking forward to jumping into it, especially GTA III, because I loved it back on the PlayStation 2. Now something to note for those who did play it way back when is that lots of the music licenses have since expired. For example, at the very beginning of GTA Vice City, one of the things that really introduce you into the game is that the first time you jump into a car, Michael Jackson - Billie Jean is playing on the radio. That does not happen anymore. That was removed years ago back in 2014 and they are not going to be renewing the licenses, so it won't give you completely the experience in terms of the music, but hopefully it will give you a lot more feel for the game given the graphic upgrade, so you can try and remember how good the games were from a gameplay point of view. And the unfortunate side is as a content creator myself, all the music will be muted anyway, I'll just be enjoying it with my community. Anyway, guys, that's it for the Gaming News for today. Thank you so much as always for the new followers coming onto the feed, I really appreciate you and I will see you tomorrow. Thanks, guys. Bye bye.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have played hundreds of games in my life and have experienced truly amazing games. As time has passed and games continue to evolve, I want to share my gaming adventures with the world so you can improve your gaming experience too.

There are several gaming franchises I love experiencing a lot such as Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, God of War, Uncharted, Yakuza, Assassin's Creed, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Xenoblade Chronicles and more.

In 1997 when I was 12 years old, a class mate of mine asked me, have you ever played Final Fantasy 7? I was like no, what’s that? He lent me his copy, and I remember on the first night I escaped Midgar after not being able to put it down for 5 to 6 hours even though it was a school night. Shortly after I finished the game and my gaming obsession was truly planted.

Towards the end of 1998 I played Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time. It was a revelation to me, given its combat, story telling, music and satisfying ending. It also gave a hint of what open world could look like given how “huge” Hyrule Field was, which was massive for the time. After nearly 25 years, Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time still sits at the top of my favourite games of all time list.

When I went to University during 2003 to 2007, it was the era of Half Life 2. I remember spending a portion of my student loan so I could get a gaming pc powerful enough to play it.

During that time I also started my adventures in MMOs including Final Fantasy 11 and World of Warcraft. It amazes me that they are still online to this day.

After leaving University, I like most people ended up in the 9 to 5 cycle, after a year of being stuck in the “no job without experience, no experience without a job”. At the time I was still living with my parents and I got distracted on girls for a while. My love for gaming never ended though, with it always being a fall back for me.

In 2013, I started my first YouTube channel, as a way to also document my time in the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn. I had seen some YouTubers who made really good videos. For me, at the time, it was a hobby to do on the evening and weekends, I never went into it thinking one day it would be my job. I would have made videos, even if it made no money at all.

After 10 years of multiple jobs, living a very miserable existence in the 9 to 5 cycle, it all abruptly ended in 2018 with my disability of severe anxiety preventing me from commuting to London to work any more.

During the Pandemic, a lot of people were losing their jobs, and there was a lot more time to produce videos and play games. While growing as a content creator, I noticed my Instagram page had little to no content. One day I picked up my phone and recorded a video talking about gaming as it was my favourite hobby.

As I have now played hundreds of games and my passion has evolved for the last 30 years, I see my love for gaming lasting until the day I die. Games have made me laugh, made me cry, and everything in between. The recent price increases have definitely dampened gaming for most gamers, but I am in a privileged position as an Independent Gaming Journalist to receive a lot of games for free from developers and publishers to review.

I hope I can always bring the highest quality Gaming News every day, in digestible 1 to 1.5 minute summaries, to share the passion I have always had for it.

There is a lot more to my gaming history than what I've written above and if you want to talk to me about it feel free to pop by my Twitch Live Stream sometime and say hello!

Not at all, I simply starting playing a lot of other games too.

I started in August 2013 as a hobby, and went full time during 2018.

Being a YouTuber, Streamer, or Content Creator is not the primary goal. I am working to enjoy my life and remain independent. I do not want to spend my life taking orders from other people.

I have 10 years commercial experience as a website and database developer that I can fall back on. I was able to develop this entire website using my experience.
