Introduction

Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!

Sony and LEGO invest in Epic Games

Sony and KIRKBI, who is the owner of LEGO, have invested $1 billion each into Epic Games. Sony already have a stake in Epic Games and they've increased it by a further 3%, and KIRKBI or LEGO are looking to create a Metaverse alongside Epic Games.

Nintendo HQ Expanding

The next bit of news for today is Nintendo has acquired land adjacent to the Nintendo HQ, which will be used to house their Research and Development Department.

Kingdom Hearts 4 in UE5

And the last bit of news for today is while the announcement trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4 was rendered in Unreal Engine 4, Square Enix's Osaka Studio co-director has confirmed that the game, in fact, is going to be developed in Unreal Engine 5. Hopefully, it will look even better and play even better when we get our hands on it. I don't know when it's going to release, but when there's more details about it, I'll be sure to share it on the Gaming News.
