Bandai Namco have been working to restore the online services for the Dark Souls games after an exploit took them offline for the safety of the players. And they were able to restore Dark Souls 3 and also Dark Souls 2, but the PC version Prepare to Die edition of the first game will be offline permanently, due to aging systems is what they've said, that they're not able to fix. It's unfortunate, but these things happen unfortunately.
