And the last bit news for today is the body that represents gaming companies in the UK, the UKIE, is proposing that loot boxes be restricted for under 18 year olds in games. A year ago the UK Government released a statement talking about loot boxes in games and how they want to see if they can work with the industry to avoid having to make them illegal. If it was up to me personally, I would remove loot boxes from games whether 18 plus or not. In my opinion, they add nothing to the game experiences, they fuel the greed of the developers and they put people who are vulnerable to gambling addiction at risk.
