YouTube have enabled the AV1 codec for live streaming on YouTube. What that means is that if you have the option to enable AV1 Encoding for your live stream, you'll be able to stream at higher quality with far less bitrate. Currently, hardware encoding for the AV1 codec is available on 40 series graphics card, the Intel Arc graphics cards and in a couple of other places. You can also enable AV1 decoding if you want to watch YouTube videos at higher quality as well. Do you have any experience with the AV1 codec?
