And the last bit of news for today, is the SAG-AFTRA National Board have voted unanimously to send strike authorization to its members regarding Interactive Media or Video Games. SAG-AFTRA members have been striking since the 02 Jul 2023 in the TV, theatrical and streaming services industries. However, video games are handled separately through a contract called Interactive Media. SAG-AFTRA would like to negotiate higher pay rates and protection for its members regarding the use of artificial intelligence and the dangers it that presents in the future.
