PlayStation have cancelled plans to require account linking for Helldivers 2 on PC. The original plan was for Helldivers 2 to require PSN linking on the 06 May 2024 for existing players and for all players on the 30 May 2024. However, it led to huge backlash and now those plans have been cancelled. People were also starting to cancel their preorders for Ghost of Tsushima on PC for the same reason, but PlayStation have reiterated that you'll only need to link your PSN account for Ghost of Tsushima if you play the online game, not the single player.
