Valve is celebrating more than 20 years since Half Life 2 was released. They released a two hour documentary about Half Life 2 where they interviewed dozens of former and current Valve staff. They also detailed why Episode 3 was never released for the game, but they did show some gameplay footage of it. Orbiter Studios have also spoken about how they're working on Half Life 2 RTX, to modernize the game, and Valve is giving away Half Life 2 and Episode 1 and 2 for free on Steam.
