Gameplay was released for Resident Evil Requiem during the Capcom Spotlight 2025. Explained how they wanted Leon Kennedy originally to be the main protagonist of the game, but said after 30 years of experience in the zombie apocalypse he would not be scared. That's why they designed Grace Ashcroft to be as introverted and scarable as possible, though she will become braver throughout the gameplay experience. For the first time, they also showed what first and third person mode will look like in the game. More developer interviews were also released on the Resident Evil portal.
