Geoff Keighley had an interview with The Game Business. During the interview he spoke about the motivation for The Game Awards, and explained that a lot of people come to watch the announcements of The Game Awards, but then will purchase the award winners. For that reason, he finds that there has to be a balance between the number of awards and the number of announcements. The Game Awards 2025 will be broadcast on Thursday 11 Dec 2025 at 4.30 p.m. PT, which is half past midnight for us in the UK. Do winners which are announced at the Game Awards affect the games that you buy?
