Back 4 Blood Open Beta, Super Mario Brothers Auction, Windows 10 Game Mode Update | Gaming News

Introduction

Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!

Windows 10 Game Mode Update

There's been a Windows 10 patch or update which addresses Game Mode and Power Plan issues, basically. So that basically the Game Mode, if you had it on, which is meant to get the most out of your PC in Windows 10, was conflicting with some Power settings, and that's now been updated. And this update came out a while ago, but the reason I mentioned it now is just because some people might not have done with Windows updates for ages. So just go to your Start menu, type in "Windows Update" and just see if you have any Windows updates and then you might be able to get it assuming you're using Windows 10, so you don't have to download any dodgy programs from any dodgy websites or anything. This is all built into Windows official patches, and so on.

Back 4 Blood Open Beta

The next bit of news for today is that the Back 4 Blood Open Beta starts on the 12 Aug 2021 and will end on the 16 Aug 2021. Right now, you'll see everyone playing the Early Access. The Early Access ends tomorrow. What Back 4 Blood is it's a co-op zombie invasion survival type game. You're working with a group of people to try and fight back zombies get from point A to point B or there's a PvP mode where some people are zombies and some people are humans and they're fighting each other and stuff like that. It does look really interesting, and you can see a lot of people streaming it over on Twitch.

Super Mario Brothers Auction

And then the last bit of news for today is an unopened copy of the original Super Mario Brothers on the Nintendo Entertainment System, the NES version, has sold for 2,000,000 dollars at auction. The game originally came out in 1986, and because the copy of the game is so pristine, an anonymous buyer decided to buy it for an insane amount of money, which breaks the previous record of how much people are willing to pay for these sealed games. Yeah, kind of crazy that people are willing to spend that sort of money on these collectibles, but I find the whole concept of NFTs just crazy as well, like people invest in the weirdest things these days.

Conclusion

That's all for my roundup of the latest gaming news. What do you think? Are any of these stories big deals in your opinion? Let me know by leaving a comment on the video. And don't forget to check back tomorrow for more exciting gaming news!
