Video Transcript

Psychonauts 2 has been reviewed and has been reviewed quite favorably. I saw the IGN and the Gamespot reviews because I was curious about the game and it does actually look quite good. I don't think it looks anywhere near as good as Ratchet & Clank, but for a platforming game apparently, it's very entertaining. And the tweets I'm seeing from other content creators are saying very favorable things about the game saying that there's good humor, there's good platforming, there's good exploration, there's good variety and so on. I might check out Psychonauts 2 at some point in the future. The next bit of news for today is Aliens Fireteam Elite has launched and again to favorable reviews. It's a coop shooter game based in the Aliens world, so you have with a group of people, human players, you need to go in and just survive an onslaught of Aliens attacking. Like Back 4 Blood it's basically just shoot everything that moves and try and survive as a group. And I personally think that these sort of games will come and go really, really quickly. I think Back 4 Blood will be come and go within a month. This game I think we'll come and go within a week. I feel like it's not enough of a gimmick to be able to keep up with the attention for long term, like co op shooters, which I think have done really well and last for the long period of time is games like The Division. You know, games like that tend to last a lot longer. And then the last bit of news for today is content creators on Twitch are organizing a day off Twitch strike on 01 Sep 2021, and it's in protest of the lack of action by Twitch in regards to the current wave of hate rating, which is going on on the platform. They're asking that on 01 Sep 2021 people don't stream on Twitch (and don't watch) so that they can get the point across to Twitch that they're not happy. Previous protests like this have been arranged in the past, and apparently they've not been effective. And from what people are saying Twitch will just do whatever Twitch wants. Basically this issue with hate rating is still going on. I personally am still in sub only on my Twitch. What that means is is that only people who are paid subscribers can actually talk in my chat. Everyone else can't. I've also switched off follow alerts so I don't get any alerts on screen in case people come in with stupid usernames when they follow, which is a shame really. It has diminished my experience of streaming on Twitch and also for my viewers as well. We'll see what Twitch do about this. It's a shame that this has been going on for so long, but they've not been able to find a proper solution yet. But we will see. For now, I'm just making do with the sub only mode on my channel, and I think a lot of people are to their own detriment.
