Video Transcript

Warframe is getting a new expansion called The New War, and it's coming out in December, so next month. It's been in development for a while, but it's been delayed while they've been working on it. But now they've released a trailer to confirm it's coming out next month, and it's the latest expansion of many for Warframe. If you're actively playing Warframe or if you care about the game in any way, then know that the next expansion, the New War is coming. The next bit of news for today is various Xbox 360 games have been added to the backwards compatibility list, which means you can download them and play them on the modern consoles. Includes games like Alan Wake, the original Assassin's Creed, and stuff like that. There's quite a long list, actually, it's quite a few of them. It's nice that backwards compatibility on Xbox is still a thing and they're still working on it actively. And then the last bit of news for today is Doug Bowser has responded to the feedback from fans about the performance issues of the emulated Nintendo 64 games on the Nintendo Switch. In an interview in The Verge, he said "We're constantly looking for ways to make our online features and those games better and continue to add value through more services and more games, as we go forward. We take the feedback very seriously, and we're continuing to look at ways to improve the overall performance. For us, it's about quality and great content at a great value." And that's in response basically to a lot of people online talking about performance issues with the Nintendo 64 games. Input lag when you're playing the games and so on because from my own personal experience, funny enough, I think I put it in the Gaming News yesterday was talking about Mario 64. When I played it on the Nintendo Switch, it was so frustrating to play with the Pro controller that I ended up abandoning the game. I got about 60 Stars and I just stopped playing because I wasn't having fun with the constant input lag and performance issues. It felt a lot more snappy on the N64 20 years ago, so hopefully they can fix it and go forward. I'm waiting until people feel that things are fixed before I jump in to my favorite game of all time, which is Zelda 64 for example.
