Xbox Evaluates Activision Blizzard Partnership, Nintendo Switch Games Sale, The Crew 2 | Gaming News

The Crew 2

Hello, guys, and welcome to the Gaming News for 19 Nov 2021. The Crew 2 is having a free weekend so you'll be able to download and play the game for free until the 21 Nov 2021. I will be checking it out because I love playing The Crew 2. If you don't know what it is. It's a racing game created by Ubisoft. It came out some time ago, but it's always being updated with new tracks and new features and there is a progression system as well. The more you win races, the more gear you can get to upgrade your cars and so on. There is a really nice community behind The Crew 2 as well.

Nintendo Switch Games Sale

And then the next bit of news for today is Nintendo has announced a cyber sale for Nintendo Switch. Nintendo of Europe tweeted out saying "The Nintendo eShop Cyber Deals sale is live. Save up to 75% off Nintendo Switch titles such as Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Tetris Effect: Connected and hundreds of other games. And it speculated that there's upwards of 1000 games discounted on Nintendo Switch. If you've had any game on Nintendo that you've been eyeing for a while, it might be available cheaper. And this sale apparently is going to be going on until the end of the month. It's your chance to look and see if there's any deals that you want to grab.

Xbox Evaluates Activision Blizzard Partnership

And then the last bit of news for today is Xbox Boss Phil Spencer is calling into question and evaluating all aspects of their relationship with Activision Blizzard because of the ongoing allegations against the CEO Bobby Kotik. Now I don't want to go too far into it because I've reported on it several times in the past, but basically there's still drama going on at Activision Blizzard to say it mildly. They are still fighting for better leadership in order to handle the situation at Activision Blizzard, so that the situations that happened in the past don't happen again in the future. That's the shortest way I can explain it. We'll see if that turns into anything. And apparently there's also been pressure coming from PlayStation Boss Jim Ryan as well. This is quite serious. If these massive platforms, massive companies maybe are questioning their relationship with Activision Blizzard. I hope it can all be resolved sooner than later. Anyway, guys, that's it for the Gaming News for today. Thank you, sir, so much for the new followers as always. And I made a few updates to my Instagram as well. Let me know what you think of the new style on Instagram, see what you think of it. And I will see you tomorrow. Thanks guys. Bye bye.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have played hundreds of games in my life and have experienced truly amazing games. As time has passed and games continue to evolve, I want to share my gaming adventures with the world so you can improve your gaming experience too.

There are several gaming franchises I love experiencing a lot such as Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, God of War, Uncharted, Yakuza, Assassin's Creed, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Xenoblade Chronicles and more.

In 1997 when I was 12 years old, a class mate of mine asked me, have you ever played Final Fantasy 7? I was like no, what’s that? He lent me his copy, and I remember on the first night I escaped Midgar after not being able to put it down for 5 to 6 hours even though it was a school night. Shortly after I finished the game and my gaming obsession was truly planted.

Towards the end of 1998 I played Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time. It was a revelation to me, given its combat, story telling, music and satisfying ending. It also gave a hint of what open world could look like given how “huge” Hyrule Field was, which was massive for the time. After nearly 25 years, Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time still sits at the top of my favourite games of all time list.

When I went to University during 2003 to 2007, it was the era of Half Life 2. I remember spending a portion of my student loan so I could get a gaming pc powerful enough to play it.

During that time I also started my adventures in MMOs including Final Fantasy 11 and World of Warcraft. It amazes me that they are still online to this day.

After leaving University, I like most people ended up in the 9 to 5 cycle, after a year of being stuck in the “no job without experience, no experience without a job”. At the time I was still living with my parents and I got distracted on girls for a while. My love for gaming never ended though, with it always being a fall back for me.

In 2013, I started my first YouTube channel, as a way to also document my time in the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn. I had seen some YouTubers who made really good videos. For me, at the time, it was a hobby to do on the evening and weekends, I never went into it thinking one day it would be my job. I would have made videos, even if it made no money at all.

After 10 years of multiple jobs, living a very miserable existence in the 9 to 5 cycle, it all abruptly ended in 2018 with my disability of severe anxiety preventing me from commuting to London to work any more.

During the Pandemic, a lot of people were losing their jobs, and there was a lot more time to produce videos and play games. While growing as a content creator, I noticed my Instagram page had little to no content. One day I picked up my phone and recorded a video talking about gaming as it was my favourite hobby.

As I have now played hundreds of games and my passion has evolved for the last 30 years, I see my love for gaming lasting until the day I die. Games have made me laugh, made me cry, and everything in between. The recent price increases have definitely dampened gaming for most gamers, but I am in a privileged position as an Independent Gaming Journalist to receive a lot of games for free from developers and publishers to review.

I hope I can always bring the highest quality Gaming News every day, in digestible 1 to 1.5 minute summaries, to share the passion I have always had for it.

There is a lot more to my gaming history than what I've written above and if you want to talk to me about it feel free to pop by my Twitch Live Stream sometime and say hello!
