Gran Turismo 7 Details, Hades Wins Hugo Award, Mass Effect 4 uses Unreal Engine 5 | Gaming News

Hades Wins Hugo Award,

Hello, guys, and welcome to the Gaming News for 20 Dec 2021. Hades is the first ever game to win a Hugo award during the World Science Fiction Convention, and Greg Gasavin made a tweet, which says, "I wish I could have attended the Hugo Awards in person. I wasn't able to make an acceptance speech there on behalf of the team. I did have a few words here. I am grateful that the awards are recognizing work in this category, much less work we did." Greg is the Creative Director behind Hades. He also wrote the game. It's good that more conventions and other bodies are recognizing the work done in video games, that's for sure.

Mass Effect 4 uses Unreal Engine 5

And the next bit of news for today is it's been confirmed that Mass Effect 4 will be using Unreal Engine 5. The journalist Jeff Grubb tweeted out saying "Unreal confirmed for Mass Effect." And then he posted the job listing. And then he says, "And just to confirm, I've heard from a handful of sources now that this is the case, obviously, and this was a choice made by the team putting the game together, which is how it should work." And then he reiterates in a reply saying it is "Unreal Engine 5". If you're a fan of the Mass Effect series, the next game hopefully will push the boundaries way further than Mass Effect Andromeda did.

Gran Turismo 7 Details

And the last bit of news for today is more details are emerging of Gran Turismo 7, which is set to come out on the 04 Mar 2022. A Japanese retailer called Yodobashi Camera has been giving out leaflets for the game with a lot of information about it, and a user on Twitter has posted all the details they can in Japanese. Then I'm using Google Translate. The first tweet says, "If you go to Yodobashi Camera, is it a GT7 leaflet? There was a thin pamphlet. Anyone can take it home. Each element is written in a little more detail than the information that was flowing on SNS so far, but it may be spoiled. Do you want to see the contents?" And then in the next tweet, he says, "This is the contents of the over-the-counter pamphlet that describes GT7. In the additional tweet I will introduce what I think is the newly mentioned information." The next tweet "Mission Challenge experience unique events that are different from regular races, such as Zeroyon Showdown, Drift, Fastest Challenge Music Rally to Race to Music and there seems to be a special event that races 0-400 meters and music." The next tweet, says "GT Auto: Dress up your car here 130 types of wheels and 600 types of Aero parts. In addition, oil changes and car washes. You can edit all paint and coloring." And then the next one says, "It's long here so I'll summarize the sentence. 'At Brand Central more than 60 manufacturers can participate and purchase more than 300 new cars in 2011.' Used car dealers have famous cars from the 80s and 90s here. The lineup is updated daily." Then the next tweet says "The lineup of used car dealers should be updated to 'every day.' It turns out that Brand Central can buy cars after 2011 as new cars." Then the last tweet says "That's all the new information. All that was left was the product introduction page you can get it anywhere that there is a game arcade such as a home electronics retail store, so please read it." More information about Gran Turismo 7 hopefully we will get our hands on it sooner than later. Anyway, guys, that's it for the Gaming News for today. Thank you so much for all your followers as always. And I will see you tomorrow. Thanks guys. Bye bye.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have played hundreds of games in my life and have experienced truly amazing games. As time has passed and games continue to evolve, I want to share my gaming adventures with the world so you can improve your gaming experience too.

There are several gaming franchises I love experiencing a lot such as Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, God of War, Uncharted, Yakuza, Assassin's Creed, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Xenoblade Chronicles and more.

In 1997 when I was 12 years old, a class mate of mine asked me, have you ever played Final Fantasy 7? I was like no, what’s that? He lent me his copy, and I remember on the first night I escaped Midgar after not being able to put it down for 5 to 6 hours even though it was a school night. Shortly after I finished the game and my gaming obsession was truly planted.

Towards the end of 1998 I played Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time. It was a revelation to me, given its combat, story telling, music and satisfying ending. It also gave a hint of what open world could look like given how “huge” Hyrule Field was, which was massive for the time. After nearly 25 years, Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time still sits at the top of my favourite games of all time list.

When I went to University during 2003 to 2007, it was the era of Half Life 2. I remember spending a portion of my student loan so I could get a gaming pc powerful enough to play it.

During that time I also started my adventures in MMOs including Final Fantasy 11 and World of Warcraft. It amazes me that they are still online to this day.

After leaving University, I like most people ended up in the 9 to 5 cycle, after a year of being stuck in the “no job without experience, no experience without a job”. At the time I was still living with my parents and I got distracted on girls for a while. My love for gaming never ended though, with it always being a fall back for me.

In 2013, I started my first YouTube channel, as a way to also document my time in the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn. I had seen some YouTubers who made really good videos. For me, at the time, it was a hobby to do on the evening and weekends, I never went into it thinking one day it would be my job. I would have made videos, even if it made no money at all.

After 10 years of multiple jobs, living a very miserable existence in the 9 to 5 cycle, it all abruptly ended in 2018 with my disability of severe anxiety preventing me from commuting to London to work any more.

During the Pandemic, a lot of people were losing their jobs, and there was a lot more time to produce videos and play games. While growing as a content creator, I noticed my Instagram page had little to no content. One day I picked up my phone and recorded a video talking about gaming as it was my favourite hobby.

As I have now played hundreds of games and my passion has evolved for the last 30 years, I see my love for gaming lasting until the day I die. Games have made me laugh, made me cry, and everything in between. The recent price increases have definitely dampened gaming for most gamers, but I am in a privileged position as an Independent Gaming Journalist to receive a lot of games for free from developers and publishers to review.

I hope I can always bring the highest quality Gaming News every day, in digestible 1 to 1.5 minute summaries, to share the passion I have always had for it.

There is a lot more to my gaming history than what I've written above and if you want to talk to me about it feel free to pop by my Twitch Live Stream sometime and say hello!

I started in August 2013 as a hobby, and went full time during 2018.

Being a YouTuber, Streamer, or Content Creator is not the primary goal. I am working to enjoy my life and remain independent. I do not want to spend my life taking orders from other people.

I have 10 years commercial experience as a website and database developer that I can fall back on. I was able to develop this entire website using my experience.
