Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!
Genshin Impact 2.7 Delayed
Version 2.7 of Genshin Impact has been delayed indefinitely due to ongoing lockdown issues in Shanghai. Hopefully, they'll be able to work around it and an announcement will be made soon. If you're still playing Genshin Impact, then know that a delay for 2.7 was announced.
Star Wars Day 2022
And the next bit of news for today is as per tradition, on May the Fourth, there will be a lot of sales as part of Star Wars Day 2022. If you're interested in any of the latest Star Wars games, then a couple more days and you'll be able to get them on a discount. And I've played a lot of Star Wars games lately, like LEGO Star Wars, which was incredible, and also Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. If you're looking for Star Wars deals, then a couple more days and you'll be able to grab them.
Square Enix Selling Tomb Raider
And the last bit of news for today is Square Enix have announced the sale of all Western Game Studios to the Embracer Group, including Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal, Square Enix Montreal, and the IPs for Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and more. Personally, I feel they were grossly undervalued at $300 million for all of what they're selling, given that the latest Tomb Raider movie on its own made $275 million is at the box office. But we'll see what the next direction is for Square Enix.
Conclusion
That's all for my roundup of the latest gaming news. What do you think? Are any of these stories big deals in your opinion? Let me know by leaving a comment on the video. And don't forget to check back tomorrow for more exciting gaming news!
