2024 2023 2022 2021 | Dec Nov Oct Sep Aug Jul Jun May Apr Mar Feb Jan Next Previous

Forspoken has been delayed until 24 Jan 2023, God of War Ragnarok will be releasing on 09 Nov 2022, with the Jotnar and Collector Editions of the game available for preorder on 15 Jul 2022, and Ubisoft have announced The Division Resurgence, a mobile game set in the universe of The Division.

The Division Resurgence Announced

Ubisoft recently made an exciting announcement for fans of the popular game series, The Division. They have revealed that a new mobile game called The Division Resurgence is currently in development and will be set in the same universe as the original games. As a fan myself, I am eagerly looking forward to this new addition to The Division franchise.

However, while I am excited about the prospect of playing The Division Resurgence, there is always a concern when it comes to mobile games and microtransactions. Many gamers, myself included, have been disappointed by mobile games that are "pay-to-win" or filled with excessive microtransactions. A recent example that comes to mind is Diablo Immortal, which faced backlash for its heavy focus on microtransactions. I hope that Ubisoft has learned from these past mistakes and ensures that The Division Resurgence offers a fair and enjoyable gaming experience without an overwhelming emphasis on microtransactions.

God of War Ragnarok Release Date

In other news, PlayStation has finally revealed the highly anticipated release date for God of War Ragnarok. Fans of the franchise can mark their calendars for November 9th, 2022, as this is when the game will launch on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. The announcement was accompanied by an exciting unboxing video showcasing the Collector's and Jotnar editions of the game.

Additionally, PlayStation enthusiasts will be delighted to know that preorders for God of War Ragnarok will be available starting July 15th, 2022. This means that eager fans will have the opportunity to secure their copies of the game just over a week from now. The countdown to November 9th begins, and it seems that we won't have to wait much longer to embark on another epic adventure with Kratos.

Forspoken Delayed

Lastly, there is news regarding the highly anticipated game, Forspoken. Square Enix recently announced that the release of Forspoken will be delayed yet again. The new launch date is set for January 24th, 2023. According to their statement, this decision was made after ongoing discussions with key partners. Despite the delay, it is reassuring to learn that all game elements are now complete, and the development team is focused on the final polishing phase.

While delays are often disappointing for fans, it is crucial to remember that they can also be a positive sign for the quality of the game. Giving developers extra time for polish and refinement can result in a better overall experience. Square Enix's decision to prioritize the quality of Forspoken demonstrates their commitment to delivering an exceptional game. It is clear that they want Forspoken to become a successful franchise, similar to the renowned Final Fantasy series.

As we eagerly await more information about Forspoken, it is important to remember that patience is key in the world of game development. The wait may be prolonged, but the end result will hopefully be worth it. Square Enix's dedication to their fans and their willingness to take the necessary time to perfect Forspoken is admirable. Rest assured, as soon as more details emerge regarding the game, we will provide an update on the Gaming News.

In conclusion, the recent announcements in the gaming industry have left fans with a mix of excitement and anticipation. The Division Resurgence offers a promising expansion of the beloved franchise onto the mobile platform, while God of War Ragnarok's release date revelation brings joy to PlayStation enthusiasts. Although Forspoken's delay may be disappointing, it is ultimately a decision that aims to deliver the best possible game.
