Sony has increased their stake in FromSoftware to 14.09% and Tencent has increased their stake to 16.25%. That's according to a statement released by the parent company Kadokawa. Contrary to popular belief, FromSoftware is not actually owned by Sony. We will see eventually if they make any sort of moves to try and take over FromSoftware but it's not likely. And the next bit of news for today is according to Dealabs, the PlayStation Plus Essentials free games for September 2022 will be Need for Speed Heat, Toem A Photo Adventure and Granblue Fantasy Versus. As with all leaks and as I say every month, take it with a grain of salt. Sony will probably confirm it in the next day or so. And the last bit of news for today is NetEase Global have announced that they have acquired Quantic Dream, the developer behind games such as Detroit Become Human and Heavy Rain. It was rumored some time ago that they were going to announce it in the summer and they have. We will see if Quantic Dream can still keep pushing out amazing games, which they have done in the past.
