According to a claim by a known leaker, apparently Take Two will be skipping a physical launch of GTA 6 to avoid leaks ahead of launch. Because of worldwide rising costs, a lot of games are also not releasing collector editions anymore. Currently GTA 6 is set to release on the 19 Nov 2026. Back in 2024, the Director of the game, Naoki Hamaguchi, said in an interview with CGWorld that Square Enix was considering switching to Unreal Engine 5 for Part 3. However, in a recent interview with GameSpot, Hamaguchi confirmed that the game has been developed in Unreal Engine 4. Maybe future Final Fantasy's will be based on Unreal Engine 5.
