After asking a lot of game developers in the annual State of the Game Industry Survey, more than twice as many developers would like to develop on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 than on Xbox. The survey, which is managed by the Game Developer Conference, shows that PC development is still the dominating platform for games from developers. The Game Developer Conference allows game developers to meet up and interact with each other. The Game Developer Conference 2026 will be happening between the 09 and 13 Mar 2026. Which game developer do you like the most? And the next bit of news for today is a features trailer has been released for the upcoming Crimson Desert. It introduces the various systems of combat that will be available in the game, introduces the main character and his faction, the Greymanes, and introduces the five distinct areas of the world Pywel. Crimson Desert will be releasing on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and also Mac on 19 Mar 2026. Will you be playing Crimson Desert? And the last bit of news for today is Square Enix have announced that a new version of Final Fantasy 7 will be released on Steam. The current version of Final Fantasy 7 will be renamed Final Fantasy 7 (2013 Edition), and if you own it, you'll get the new version for free. Once the new version comes out, you won't be able to buy the 2013 edition of the game anymore. We currently don't know why it's being released, what's going to be updated and when it's going to be released.
