Steam Deck Reservations see some models been made available in Q3 2022, a cryptocurrency farm with 1000s of PS4s is being used to farm FIFA Ultimate teams, and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is available now.

Steam Deck Reservations

The highly anticipated Steam Deck gaming device has now opened up reservations on the Steam platform. This means that interested users can now place orders for the device and secure their spot in line to receive it. However, due to the overwhelming demand, reservation dates are already stretching into 2022. In fact, those who opt for the highest-capacity version of the Steam Deck, the 512 gigabyte model, might have to wait until Q3 2022 before they can get their hands on it.

It's important to note that Valve, the company behind Steam and the Steam Deck, has implemented a reservation system to handle the high demand. While some customers may have to wait longer than others, Valve assures that they will fulfill all orders in due time. So, even if your reservation date is far off, rest assured that Valve will eventually fulfill your order.

Cryptocurrency FIFA Farm

In recent news from Ukraine, the country's police force has made a surprising discovery - a crypto farming operation that involved thousands of PlayStation 4 consoles. Initially, it was believed that these consoles were being used to mine cryptocurrencies, but it turns out the operation had a different purpose entirely.

The PlayStation 4 consoles were actually being used to farm Ultimate Teams in the popular video game FIFA 20. Ultimate Team mode allows players to build and manage their own soccer teams using virtual player cards. These cards can be earned through gameplay or purchased with in-game currency. By farming Ultimate Teams, the operators of this scheme aimed to obtain valuable player cards that could then be sold on the black market for real-world money.

While FIFA is a well-known and highly popular game series, it's interesting to see the extent to which people are willing to go to exploit its in-game economy. The use of PlayStation 4 consoles in this farming operation highlights the value assigned to virtual items in the gaming community.

Skyward Sword HD

Shifting gears to gaming news, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, a remastered version of the original game, has been released for the Nintendo Switch. The game has received positive reviews from both critics and players alike, capturing the hearts of Zelda fans once again.

For those unfamiliar with Skyward Sword, it was originally released for the Wii console back in 2011. The HD remaster brings updated visuals and various quality-of-life improvements to enhance the gaming experience on the Nintendo Switch.

Many fans of the Zelda franchise have eagerly awaited Skyward Sword's availability on the Switch, as it provides an opportunity to revisit or discover the game for the first time. The positive feedback from players currently indulging in the remastered version suggests that the wait has been worthwhile.

However, there are still other classic Zelda titles that fans are anticipating. One of the most highly requested games is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, an iconic title originally released for the Nintendo 64. It's no surprise that many would love to see Ocarina of Time receive a similar remaster treatment on the Nintendo Switch.

While Skyward Sword HD is a step in the right direction, fans hope that Nintendo will eventually bring other beloved Zelda classics to the Switch, such as The Wind Waker and Majora's Mask. There's a certain excitement in the gaming community when it comes to revisiting these nostalgic adventures on a current-gen platform.

As fans eagerly await future announcements and potential remasters, for now, they can immerse themselves in the remastered world of Skyward Sword and relive the epic tale intertwined with the history of the Master Sword.
