Far Cry 6 Review, Windows 11 Released, Sora in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate | Gaming News

Windows 11 Released

Hello guys, and welcome to the Gaming News for 06 Oct 2021. Windows 11 launched yesterday and some people are very skeptical about doing the upgrade because with any new operating system from Microsoft there's bound to be some hurdles, but I'm sure that Microsoft will smooth them out. Support for Windows 10 is going to be going on all the way until 2025. You have four years to decide, and if you have Windows 10, you'll be able to upgrade to Windows 11 for free. But the question always, given that this is the gaming news, is how is it for gaming performance? There has been rumors about a potential security software issue with Window 11 that might hobble gaming performance, but we have to just wait and see. Personally I am waiting for the big tech reviewers to really dive into Windows 11 to tell us if it's good or bad, such as Linus Tech Tips, for example.

Sora in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

The next bit of news for today is Sora has been announced as the last Smash character. They did a big reveal yesterday about who it's going to be, and there was mixed feelings about it, to be honest. They had so many other hopes and dreams of which character would come in. But yeah, the fact that Sora is coming into Smash Brothers, I find that kind of funny. Smash Brothers isn't for me, personally. I did try it a little bit when it came out, just don't like it simple as that. I'm sorry, I'm not a Smash fan, but I know that there is a lot of people who are.

Far Cry 6 Review

And then the last bit of news for today is Far Cry 6 is actually coming out tomorrow, and some big content creators have already had early access the last couple of days, and I've already been releasing gameplay footage of it. But today the embargo for the reviews is over, which means that the reviews for the game will come out today, and the reviews seem quite favorable to be honest. IGN, for example, gave it an 8 out of 10 saying that it smooths a lot of the bumps from the previous games. Personally, thought that Far Cry 5 was really good. If they're saying that Far Cry 6 is even better, so be it. I can't wait to jump into it and coop with my friends to go through Far Cry 6. I'm looking forward to that tomorrow. Anyway, guys, that's it for the Gaming News for today. Thank you, as always, to all the new followers coming on to the feed and I will see you tomorrow. Thanks guys. Bye bye.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have played hundreds of games in my life and have experienced truly amazing games. As time has passed and games continue to evolve, I want to share my gaming adventures with the world so you can improve your gaming experience too.

There are several gaming franchises I love experiencing a lot such as Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, God of War, Uncharted, Yakuza, Assassin's Creed, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Xenoblade Chronicles and more.

In 1997 when I was 12 years old, a class mate of mine asked me, have you ever played Final Fantasy 7? I was like no, what’s that? He lent me his copy, and I remember on the first night I escaped Midgar after not being able to put it down for 5 to 6 hours even though it was a school night. Shortly after I finished the game and my gaming obsession was truly planted.

Towards the end of 1998 I played Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time. It was a revelation to me, given its combat, story telling, music and satisfying ending. It also gave a hint of what open world could look like given how “huge” Hyrule Field was, which was massive for the time. After nearly 25 years, Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time still sits at the top of my favourite games of all time list.

When I went to University during 2003 to 2007, it was the era of Half Life 2. I remember spending a portion of my student loan so I could get a gaming pc powerful enough to play it.

During that time I also started my adventures in MMOs including Final Fantasy 11 and World of Warcraft. It amazes me that they are still online to this day.

After leaving University, I like most people ended up in the 9 to 5 cycle, after a year of being stuck in the “no job without experience, no experience without a job”. At the time I was still living with my parents and I got distracted on girls for a while. My love for gaming never ended though, with it always being a fall back for me.

In 2013, I started my first YouTube channel, as a way to also document my time in the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn. I had seen some YouTubers who made really good videos. For me, at the time, it was a hobby to do on the evening and weekends, I never went into it thinking one day it would be my job. I would have made videos, even if it made no money at all.

After 10 years of multiple jobs, living a very miserable existence in the 9 to 5 cycle, it all abruptly ended in 2018 with my disability of severe anxiety preventing me from commuting to London to work any more.

During the Pandemic, a lot of people were losing their jobs, and there was a lot more time to produce videos and play games. While growing as a content creator, I noticed my Instagram page had little to no content. One day I picked up my phone and recorded a video talking about gaming as it was my favourite hobby.

As I have now played hundreds of games and my passion has evolved for the last 30 years, I see my love for gaming lasting until the day I die. Games have made me laugh, made me cry, and everything in between. The recent price increases have definitely dampened gaming for most gamers, but I am in a privileged position as an Independent Gaming Journalist to receive a lot of games for free from developers and publishers to review.

I hope I can always bring the highest quality Gaming News every day, in digestible 1 to 1.5 minute summaries, to share the passion I have always had for it.

There is a lot more to my gaming history than what I've written above and if you want to talk to me about it feel free to pop by my Twitch Live Stream sometime and say hello!

I started in August 2013 as a hobby, and went full time during 2018.

Being a YouTuber, Streamer, or Content Creator is not the primary goal. I am working to enjoy my life and remain independent. I do not want to spend my life taking orders from other people.
