Twitch Data Leak, PlayStation PS3 and PS Vita Stores Changes, Far Cry 6 Released | Gaming News

Twitch Data Leak

Hello guys, and welcome to the Gaming News for 07 Oct 2021. Yesterday there was apparently a massive data leak from Twitch. Twitch themselves have Tweeted out to confirm it. They tweeted out saying "That we can confirm a breach has taken place. Our teams are working with urgency to understand the extent of this. We will update the community as soon as additional information is available. Thank you for bearing with us." Some of the things that have been posted to social media, include details of the earning of the biggest streamers on the platform, and also as well about a secret project apparently Amazon were working on as a competitor to Steam code-named "Vapor" and stuff like that. Now what I'm going to do is because the gaming news tends to be quite sure. I'm going to make a separate video on my main gaming channel talking about this in detail because there's a lot of information to go through. Please head over to my main gaming channel later today and you'll be able to see my thoughts on the situation.

PlayStation PS3 and PS Vita Stores Changes

The next bit of news for today is PlayStation is making it harder to buy games or access anything on the store if you have a PlayStation 3 or a PlayStation Vita. Starting in about ten days from now, you won't be able to top up your PlayStation 3 PlayStation Wallet using a credit card, debit card or PayPal, which basically means you won't be able to top it up. You'll have to do it via the website. Now you will still be able to buy in-game DLC for the platforms, but I think it's PlayStation's way of basically saying that can we please move on, please move on from PlayStation 3. But the problem is is that some people don't have a choice and also as well, some people just have a lot of nostalgia for the old consoles.

Far Cry 6 Released

Then the last bit of news for today is Far Cry 6 has released today and I am very much looking forward to playing it with my friends, especially in Co-Op, because these sorts of games they're fun at their own, but they're especially fun with friends. That's why I'm really looking forward to it. It's not about it being the best game ever, with the best story. That's definitely not the case by any means, but it's reviewed quite well. And Co-Op in Far Cry games tends to be incredibly fun. I'm looking forward to that. Anyway, guys, that's it for the Gaming News for today. Thank you as always to all the new followers coming on to the feed and I will see you tomorrow. Thanks, guys. Bye bye.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have played hundreds of games in my life and have experienced truly amazing games. As time has passed and games continue to evolve, I want to share my gaming adventures with the world so you can improve your gaming experience too.

There are several gaming franchises I love experiencing a lot such as Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, God of War, Uncharted, Yakuza, Assassin's Creed, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Xenoblade Chronicles and more.

In 1997 when I was 12 years old, a class mate of mine asked me, have you ever played Final Fantasy 7? I was like no, what’s that? He lent me his copy, and I remember on the first night I escaped Midgar after not being able to put it down for 5 to 6 hours even though it was a school night. Shortly after I finished the game and my gaming obsession was truly planted.

Towards the end of 1998 I played Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time. It was a revelation to me, given its combat, story telling, music and satisfying ending. It also gave a hint of what open world could look like given how “huge” Hyrule Field was, which was massive for the time. After nearly 25 years, Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time still sits at the top of my favourite games of all time list.

When I went to University during 2003 to 2007, it was the era of Half Life 2. I remember spending a portion of my student loan so I could get a gaming pc powerful enough to play it.

During that time I also started my adventures in MMOs including Final Fantasy 11 and World of Warcraft. It amazes me that they are still online to this day.

After leaving University, I like most people ended up in the 9 to 5 cycle, after a year of being stuck in the “no job without experience, no experience without a job”. At the time I was still living with my parents and I got distracted on girls for a while. My love for gaming never ended though, with it always being a fall back for me.

In 2013, I started my first YouTube channel, as a way to also document my time in the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn. I had seen some YouTubers who made really good videos. For me, at the time, it was a hobby to do on the evening and weekends, I never went into it thinking one day it would be my job. I would have made videos, even if it made no money at all.

After 10 years of multiple jobs, living a very miserable existence in the 9 to 5 cycle, it all abruptly ended in 2018 with my disability of severe anxiety preventing me from commuting to London to work any more.

During the Pandemic, a lot of people were losing their jobs, and there was a lot more time to produce videos and play games. While growing as a content creator, I noticed my Instagram page had little to no content. One day I picked up my phone and recorded a video talking about gaming as it was my favourite hobby.

As I have now played hundreds of games and my passion has evolved for the last 30 years, I see my love for gaming lasting until the day I die. Games have made me laugh, made me cry, and everything in between. The recent price increases have definitely dampened gaming for most gamers, but I am in a privileged position as an Independent Gaming Journalist to receive a lot of games for free from developers and publishers to review.

I hope I can always bring the highest quality Gaming News every day, in digestible 1 to 1.5 minute summaries, to share the passion I have always had for it.

There is a lot more to my gaming history than what I've written above and if you want to talk to me about it feel free to pop by my Twitch Live Stream sometime and say hello!

I started in August 2013 as a hobby, and went full time during 2018.

Being a YouTuber, Streamer, or Content Creator is not the primary goal. I am working to enjoy my life and remain independent. I do not want to spend my life taking orders from other people.

I have 10 years commercial experience as a website and database developer that I can fall back on. I was able to develop this entire website using my experience.
