Hironobu Sakaguchi, who was the creator of the original Final Fantasy games, has tweeted out saying "A dot art project that I gave up on the main character is, of course, a frog. You can use it as a wallpaper for 2022". Take a close look at it and see what you think. Some of the feedback and comments to this picture include it looks like it was ripped straight out of Octopath Traveler. He's not given any more context or any more information about this project, but we will see if it turns into anything again in the future, but for now it's cancelled. The next bit of news for today is the ESRB rating for Elden Ring has been released and has been published on the official website. It reads "This is an action role playing game in which players assume the role of a character trying to retrieve a magical ring and become the Elden Lord. From a third person perspective, players explore environments, collect items and battle various enemies, example knights, fantastical creatures in melee combat. Players use swords, spears, axe, arrows, and magic to enemies. Combat is highlighted by cries of pain, slapters of blood and impact sound. The game includes depictions of gore, collectible items that includes severed fingers and tongues, a boss character cutting off his own arm, severed arms hanging from a ceiling. During the course of the game, a humanoid monster is depicted partially nude with scales, scars covering its breast and pelvic regions. The word crap appears in the dialogue." It's important to read about the ESRB rating in case you're worried about your kids playing these games, if the kids are very young, but generally they can also give a hint and almost a spoiler of what's to come in the game. I think most people will read this and be excited. And the last bit of news for today is Gordon Ramsay has been replying about Twitch. In the past he's famously said "What do you do for a living? I stream on Twitch, my cooking chef. What the F is Twitch?" Since then, a lot of streamers have been watching Gordon Ramsay based shows directly on their live streams, whether it be Master Chef or Hell's Kitchen or Kitchen Nightmares and so on. And without any sort of DMCA protection from the Watch Party system or anything like that. And a lot of other content creators have been concerned about it. DJ Wheat, who is the head of community at Twitch, was replying to such a concern, and he said "It's absolutely not okay, just like it's never been okay to stream music. This is just as DMCA'able as anything else. Hard to say why streamers have not been targeted, but just like music it's probably just a matter of time. This is not an official Twitch take just my own." And from this, basically, I would err on the side of caution. There's been some playful banter between Twitch and Gordon Ramsay directly. Gordon Ramsay has changed his Twitter profile to say, "doesn't know what Twitch is", and Twitch has changed theirs to say "scrambled egg recipe stan account". And there's been some back and forth as well between Gordon Ramsey and streamers directly. But this is not an official endorsement and license to stream whatever you like from his because it might not even belong to him. That's the thing they're put on these different networks like Fox and so on. These networks might come after Twitch rather than Gordon Ramsey himself. We will see what this turns into in the future.
