Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!

Stranger of Paradise Release Date

Square Enix released a trailer for Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin, and it's the final trailer for the game and they announced the release date of 18 Mar 2022. We will see what it's like when it comes out. It's had mixed reactions so far. Some people are really excited for it, but a lot of people really aren't. Like I said, we will see. Personally I was not impressed with the demo at all. It's just not my style compared to, for example, Final Fantasy VII Remake. Again, we will see what happens.

Elden Ring Goes Gold

The next bit of news for today is Elden Ring has now gone gold. What that means is, is that it's in a stable enough condition where it could be burned to a gold master disc for production, for selling the game, which is great. Because the game doesn't even come out for another month, which means that they have another month for polish. It's really good when any game hits gold status. Hopefully, in a few weeks we'll see if the hype was worth it.

FFXIV Launches Patch 6.08

And then the last bit of news for today is Final Fantasy XIV has launched Patch 6.08 and with it they've launched the Oceanic servers. You can review the patch notes as well to see the job adjustments. And hopefully for the people who have been waiting a very long time for an Oceanic based data center, you'll finally be able to transfer to it. It's called Materia.
