Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!
The Boys Game Proposal
A couple of days ago I reported that Hideo Kojima had canceled a game because of similarities with the TV show The Boys, which is showing on Amazon Prime. Eric Kripke, who is the developer behind the TV show The Boys actually replied to Hideo Kojima saying "Please come make a The Boys game. We can team up and conquer! Huge fan, btw." We will see if anything ever happens from that. And also Antony Starr who is the actor behind Homelander who is one of the main characters of the TV show The Boys seconded the notion. If there's any information about that in the future, I'll be sure to report it on the Gaming News. I think it would be a very interesting collaboration, that's for sure.
Steam Deck Production Doubles
And the next bit of news for today is Valve tweeted out saying "Hello, some great news on the production front. We just sent out the last batch of Q2 emails and we'll start sending Q3 reservation emails on the 30th. Production has picked up, and after today we'll be shipping more than double the number of Steam Decks every week." The Steam Deck is a portable console where you can play PC games which are featured on Steam on the go. If you're interested then be sure to check out the Steam Deck.
NieR Automata on Switch
And the last bit of news for today is there was a Nintendo Direct Mini, which showcased a lot of partnered games with Nintendo, which are going to be launching on Nintendo Switch this year and next year. And one of the games announced was NieR Automata, which is going to be launching on the Nintendo Switch on the 06 Oct 2022. It will be the YoRHa edition, which includes all the previous released DLC and some exclusive DLCs just for the Nintendo Switch in the form of outfits. If you're looking forward to it then know that it's coming out later this year.
