Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!
Monster Hunter Rise Sales
Capcom have announced that Monster Hunter Rise has reached more than 12 million sales across the globe. They've also recently released next gen versions of the game as well on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. It's available also on PC and Nintendo Switch. If you're a Monster Hunter fan, be sure to check out Monster Hunter Rise and also the Sunbreak expansion.
Knockout City Shutting Down
And the next bit of news for today is the dodgeball battle royale, Knockout City, will be shutting down on the 06 Jun 2023. The developer released a long blog post to explain why. Possibly the battle royale genre has become so saturated now that it's very difficult to stand out.
The Day Before Gameplay
And the last bit of news for today is 10 minutes of gameplay footage for The Day Before was released. I was not very impressed with what I saw because the game is very lifeless. There was no sound other than their footsteps, there was very little interaction with the zombies. I would suggest to add a really good soundtrack, and even if it is just dust blowing in the wind, something to make the world feel alive. Otherwise, right now it looks very bland compared to other games such as The Division.
