The PlayStation 5 Pro is receiving a software update. So far its AI based super sampling upscaler, which is nicknamed the PSSR has not been performing too well in certain games. A new updated version of the software will be coming out for free for PlayStation 5 Pro owners and it was recently tested by Digital Foundry. They have found that the upgraded version of the PSSR has fixed a lot of the issues that plagued the original version, though they've not been able to test yet the automatic PSSR, which will upgrade games which are not specifically patched for it. The PSSR 2 will be fully supported by Crimson Desert when it launches on 19 Mar 2026 and updates have also been confirmed for Assassin's Creed Shadows and Cyberpunk 2077. Originally, it was going to release on 29 May 2026 but now it will be releasing on 22 May 2026. Have you played a LEGO video game before? And the last bit of news for today is Pearl Abyss have announced that Crimson Desert will be receiving Twitch Drops. Twitch Drops are rewards that you can redeem for the game when you're watching an activated livestream for the game itself. They usually add other requirements as well, such as how long you've watched for or maybe you need to subscribe. So far they've detailed all the rewards for week one and week two, but they said the full schedule for the Twitch drops and instructions of how to redeem them will come later.
