TOKYO 2020 OPENING CEREMONY GAMING MUSIC! Battlefield...

2023 2022 2021 | Dec Nov Oct Sep Aug Jul Next Previous

Introduction

Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!

Tokyo 2020 Opening Ceremony Gaming Music

The Tokyo Olympics for 2020, even though it's 2021 because the pandemic have kicked off, and in the opening ceremony, it featured a lot of gaming music because Japan has contributed so much to gaming, simple as that. You can actually Google it, you can look online and you can see a list of all the songs feature during the opening ceremony for which game and which song and stuff like that. So that's really, really awesome.

Battlefield 1

The next bit of news, you can actually redeem Battlefield 1 and some other Barfield games soon via Twitch Gaming. So if you have Twitch Prime or Prime Gaming or it has so many different names. But I think people just know as Twitch Prime, which you can have, if you have Amazon Prime, then you can redeem games for free. Again, please searched how to do that. If you're interested in the Battlefield games, there's obviously a lot of coverage or Battlefield, because Battlefield 2042 is not too far away.

Activision Blizzard

And then the last bit of news for today is in light of the harassment and everything that came out about Activision Blizzard, which I covered a couple of days ago. Some gaming media outlets are actually now refusing to cover Activision Blizzard games until more is being done about the discrimination that's happening. And I would say that's noble, but I think in some cases some people might just be doing that for their own coverage. That's what's really cynical and really sarcastic about these or situations sort of kick someone when they're down and stuff like that, because the head of Blizzard has come out and said he wasn't even aware that this was going on in his company and he's going to take very decisive action about it. It's a bad debate, and I always don't like it when people are suffering. You know, I'm 100% against any type of discrimination, any type of harassment. But I have said with the Blizzard situation and the Ubisoft situation about how it's best to handle it, in my opinion, and shunning the company completely in its entirety because of one, a little bad element or a few bad actors, I think is an overreaction. But that's my personal point of view. I do want things to improve at both companies and every gaming company vary if this is a global issue.

Conclusion

That's all for my roundup of the latest gaming news. What do you think? Are any of these stories big deals in your opinion? Let me know by leaving a comment on the video. And don't forget to check back tomorrow for more exciting gaming news!
