Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!
PS Plus Games for Aug 2021
The next PlayStation Plus games for August have been revealed, including Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, Tennis Tour 2, and the PlayStation 5 game for next month is Hunter Arena: Legends. So the way it works is that when you have PlayStation Plus active, you can redeem games and add them to your library, and you can download them anytime in the future as long as your PlayStation Plus subscription is still active. Simple as that. And they announce new games every single month, but you have to redeem them during the month they're available. You can't just redeem endless games in the future.
Epic Games Store Free Games
And then the next bit of news for today is that the next free games on Epic Game Store have been announced. Those games are Mothergunship and Train SIM World 2. The way it works on Epic Game Store, slightly different is that you can redeem them during the time they're available, and they're on your account forever. There's no active sub. There's nothing you need to do other than just redeem them during the period of time between 29 Jul 2021 to 05 Aug 2021. I've got an endless library of games now on the Epic Game Store because they log in all the time to redeem them if you haven't got it already. And what's in it for Epic? More customers available on their Epic Game Store. That's why they do it at their own expense.
Blizzard Ex-CEO Responds
And then the last bit of news for today is Mike Morhaime, who was the former CEO of Blizzard and also one of the co founders of the company, has seen what's been going on with all the allegations about abuse and discrimination and so on. And he said in a twit longer that he feels ashamed and that it's not the company he was establishing. He worked at Blizzard for more than 20 years, and he feels he's failed the employees. And it's very different to how he envisioned it. He's very, very upset with what has been happening. Though some of the other executives are sending mixed signals. You'll see some articles where some executives are, again, really apologetic for it, and then some are kind of like, we don't know if this is meritless or not. Now, all I would say to that is that the State of California must feel they have grounds in order to do a lawsuit. They wouldn't waste their time otherwise, in my opinion, of course, I'm saying that has not a lawyer, but it just seems logical that they wouldn't waste their time. I don't know how to feel about this, but again, it's not in my hands. It's in the hands of a judge in California to decide what needs to happen. I guess we'll see.
That's all for my roundup of the latest gaming news. What do you think? Are any of these stories big deals in your opinion? Let me know by leaving a comment on the video. And don't forget to check back tomorrow for more exciting gaming news!
