Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!
Age of Empires 4 Closed Beta
The Age of Empires IV Closed Beta is going to be starting hopefully later today, and it's going to be running for at least a couple of weeks. If you head over to ageofempires.com, make sure to sign up for the Insider Program as long as you reach the minimum PC specs and you sign the NDA and so on, maybe you'll get selected. Maybe its chance-based is not guaranteed, but your best chance of getting selected is to just head over to ageofempires.com and sign up for the Insider Program.
FFXIV Ultimate Cookbook
The next bit of news for today is Final Fantasy 14 and Square Enix are releasing an ultimate cookbook, so that's gonna include recipes from Final Fantasy 14 and how you make them in real life. Youtube channel called A Recipe Reborn has been doing that for ages already, but it's nice to have an official guide coming out which will show you in case you're curious about how to make some of the recipes in real life, like Rolanberry Cheesecake and stuff like that. That's coming out soon. And I did make a video on my main gaming channel detailing that and I went through the press release and so on.
Gamescom 2021
And then the last bit of news for today is Gamescom 2021 is three weeks away. It's going to be produced and presented by Geoff Keighley, who has previously hosted many events, including the Game Awards and also as well. He has tweeted out basically saying that the opening ceremony is going to include upwards of two hours of upcoming gaming coverage. So we will see. It's just more gaming news is always welcome, especially given its my interest. I am looking forward to it. And it's going to be 100% online event this year because of the ongoing issues of the pandemic and so on.
