Amazon Games have stepped back on a rule or a right to be able to claim the personal projects of games of employees if the employees make those games outside of work. The idea was if you work for Amazon Games and you are making your own game outside of work, Amazon Games would be able to claim it as theirs which I find absolutely disgusting. It's disgusting. I'm happy they've stepped back from it because they said that at the time Amazon had a lot less information and experience, so they made this rule. But the fact it was even considered. That's my reaction. As someone who's worked as a developer, I think that so many development companies overstep the mark of how they treat their employees. They treat their employees like they can't think for themselves and they can't be creative. They can't do anything outside of work and everything that a developer types is the ownership and property of the studio. I think it's disgusting. When I read this headline based on someone who's worked as a developer, I was disgusted. I'm happy they step back from it. The next bit of news for today is Xbox have confirmed they're coming to Gamescom, and they're gonna have a opening live stream one day before the opening ceremony of Gamescom on the 24 Aug 2021. If you want to watch it, then know it'll be on the 24 Aug 2021. I'll give more updates as we get closer towards it. Tthat's eight days from now. And then the last bit of news for today is the Nintendo Switch is a absolutely dominating Japan to point where the top 30 best seven games in Japan right now are all Nintendo games. That hasn't happened in 1988. Nintendo has reported that they have now sold 80 plus million Nintendo Switches, which makes it something like the third highest console of all time. And they're projected to sell about 20 million more by March 2022, which would then make it outsell the Nintendo Wii even, which would make it the second best selling console of all time. It's nice to see Nintendo is doing so well. It shouldn't be a surprise, really, that Nintendo dominate so much in Japan. They have done for decades. But at this point, the fact that the top 30 games are you know, Nintendo games in Japan is insane.
