NEW WORLD OPEN BETA! South Korea Shutdown Law...

2023 2022 2021 | Dec Nov Oct Sep Aug Jul Next Previous

Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!

ONL Opening Live Stream

Last night there was Opening Night Live for Gamescom. I'm not really going to go into it because it was more than 2 hours long, so I will be uploading my reaction to the whole thing on my main gaming YouTube channel. If you want to check it out.

New World Open Beta

The next bit of news for today is the Open Beta for New World will be starting on 09 Sep 2021. if you're curious about New World, then you have the final chance to jump into the Open Beta. Check it out, see what you think before the full release. I believe on the 28 Sep 2021, assuming that there isn't any sort of delays or whatever. I did play the Alpha. I thought it looked okay, but I'm just curious as well about the end game of New World. I just don't know what it looks like.

South Korea Shutdown Law Change

The next bit of news for today is South Korea are changing a law called the Shutdown Law or the Cinderella Law. What that law was was basically that underaged players or gamers who were 16 or under were not allowed to game between midnight and 06:00 a.m. It was actually illegal, believe it or not in South Korea, but they're getting rid of that, so that to respect kids rights. Basically. It's interesting. I didn't even know this law existed. And they said South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family are ending the law to respect children's rights and encourage at home education. I don't know what at-home education happens between midnight and 06:00 a.m., but it doesn't need to be illegal. They don't have to go to that stage. We'll see, I think because most websites these days like YouTube, Twitch, and so on, have an age requirement, I believe were 13 before you can even access these websites. Again, I'm curious if this law will even have any effect generally and this law change. I did it have an effect or were kids just gaming after midnight. It was a very interesting headline to read.

Riders Republic Open Beta

And then the last bit of news for today is Riders Republic has got an Open Beta until the 28 Aug 2021, so you'll be able to download the game, play it for free, it's completely open. You can play it on PlayStation, on PC and Xbox, and so on, you choose and also as well. Ubisoft have reached out to me to enable Twitch Drops on my live stream on Twitch. What that means is that if you watch my live stream on Twitch for an hour, you'll be able to redeem an ingame item. I think it's a backpack before the game comes out. If you're interested in Riders Republic now is your chance to play it for the next couple of days to see what it's like. And feel free to come by the live stream if you want to redeem this backpack as well. That's the Gaming News for today. Very curious one today. It's been a very weird day so far with other things that have happened. But like I said right now, I'm still editing the reaction video from the Opening Night Live from yesterday because it's so long. But hopefully it'll be live on my main channel in the next day or so.

That's all for my roundup of the latest gaming news. What do you think? Are any of these stories big deals in your opinion? Let me know by leaving a comment on the video. And don't forget to check back tomorrow for more exciting gaming news!
