Brendan 'PlayerUnknown' Greene is working on a new open-world sandbox game via his own Studio, Nintendo Game Boy and Game Boy Color games are rumored to be coming to Nintendo Switch Online, and Facebook Gaming is working with a lot of music and record labels to allow streamers to use mainstream music in the background of their live streams.

PlayerUnknown's Next Game

Brendan Greene, also known as Player Unknown, the creator of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), is currently working on his next venture - an open-world sandbox game. Given the tremendous success of PUBG, fans are eagerly waiting to see what Greene has in store for his upcoming game. At this point, all we have is a 30-second trailer titled "Prologue," which provides a glimpse of the potential graphics. Unfortunately, not much more information has been revealed, leaving us with anticipation and curiosity. The gaming community will have to exercise patience and wait for further updates on this exciting project.

Game Boy Games on Nintendo Switch

In other news, it appears that Nintendo is planning to bring Game Boy and Game Boy Color games to its popular Nintendo Switch Online subscription service. For those unfamiliar, Nintendo Switch Online enables players to access various online features, including multiplayer gaming. Additionally, subscribers can download and play retro games from the NES and SNES libraries. It is hoped that Nintendo will eventually expand the service to include Nintendo 64 games, particularly classics like "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time." Nintendo Switch Online is notably affordable compared to similar subscription services offered by rival gaming platforms, such as PlayStation Plus and Xbox Gold. Fans of Game Boy games will have their fingers crossed for an announcement regarding the addition of these nostalgic titles.

Facebook Gaming Music Deals

The latest news in the gaming industry involves a collaboration between Facebook Gaming and numerous music and record labels. Facebook Gaming is working diligently to allow mainstream music to be streamed while playing games on its platform. For those who have streamed on Facebook Gaming, this partnership means they may soon be able to enjoy their favorite music without worrying about DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) or Copyright claims. Although not all music will be available due to certain songs being subject to DMCA claims or Copyright restrictions, Facebook Gaming aims to address these issues by partnering with even more record labels.

It's worth noting that initially, this privilege was limited to Facebook Level Up Partners, a select group of streamers who earned at least $2,000 per month on the platform and had a minimum of 3,000 engaged followers on a monthly basis. However, now Facebook has decided to expand this feature to all streamers on the platform. By taking this innovative approach, Facebook Gaming has set itself apart from competitors like Twitch and YouTube. While Twitch and YouTube focus on strategies to avoid Copyright claims, Facebook is actively working on securing music deals to offer a wider selection for streamers. This move could potentially inspire Twitch and YouTube to follow suit and negotiate similar agreements with the music industry.

Competition within the streaming industry is always beneficial to creators and viewers alike. The current development with Facebook Gaming highlights the company's dedication to improving the streaming experience for its users. As the gaming community eagerly observes these developments, it remains to be seen how other platforms will respond to this shifting landscape.

In conclusion, the gaming industry continues to provide exciting news and updates for players and enthusiasts alike. From PlayerUnknown's upcoming game and the anticipation surrounding its release, to the potential addition of Game Boy games on Nintendo Switch Online, and Facebook Gaming's progress in securing music deals for its streamers, there is no shortage of intriguing developments within the gaming world. As always, gamers around the globe eagerly await further updates and eagerly anticipate the next wave of gaming innovations.
