Video Transcript

The developer of Splitgate, 1047 Games, has received $100 Million in funding to help them support and develop the game even further from investors. They have said that they feel that the game is only 25% done and they want to take it further and become the next Riot Games. Riot Games are the developer behind such games as League of Legends and VALORANT. They're both wildly popular free-to-play games. I guess they are eyeing that sort of model for the future for the long term because they said they're thinking of the long term, not for immediate profit. Good luck to them. Hopefully it will go well for them on their quest to become the next Riot Games. The next bit of news for today is Kena Bridge of Spirits has actually launched today on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. Thank you to Ember Labs because they've actually provided me a review copy of the game and their at sending me a gift in the mail as well. But I have to wait a bit longer for that. I'm really looking forward to jumping into Kena Bridge of Spirits. I've been excited for the game since it was first showed off during the original PlayStation 5 showcase. If you want to check out the game and let me know how you like it. Then the last bit of news for today is the US Securities and Exchange Commission otherwise, known as the SEC has launched its own investigation into Activision Blizzard over how the company handled its allegations of harassment, abuse and toxic behavior. And they are following up on the California Department of Fair Employment and Housings lawsuit, which is going on as well. And the SEC, I feel have got more power because it's a federal agency. It's not a state one. We will see what happens with that. They've also subpoenaed a few of the high ranking executives Activision Blizzard over this. It's a serious issue that's gotten even more serious. Simple as that. We will see what happens with it because they've, for example, subpoenaed Bobby Kotick, the CEO of Activision. He's CEO of the parent company. We will see what happens. Like I said, this is a terrible situation, which is getting even worse, but these systems are in place to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
