Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the daily gaming news. Here I'll be discussing all the latest goings-on in the gaming industry, from new releases to game announcements and everything in between. So without further ado, let's get started!
Resident Evil 7 Ships 10 Million Copies
Resident Evil 7 is the first game in the series to ship 10 million copies, so if you haven't checked it out already, I really highly recommend it. I did play it a lot, which I've been saying a lot lately and I did even get the Platinum Trophy for it. It is one of the more scary Resident Evil games, given the sort of tight corridors of the house you're going through and the first person perspective and enemies that in a lot of cases you can't take on. You have to just run. It's a very interesting game, it has got a very interesting story as well, with twists and turns and even alternative endings and so on. And Capcom have been very clear in their press release. 10 million copies shipped means that's how many have been shipped to retailers. It's not necessarily how many have been sold, but it has been promoted by digital sales and so on. The number is very close to that. And the Resident Evil series overall has already passed 100 million units shipped*. Obviously, it's a big asset for Capcom, and I'm sure that they will keep it going as long as the enthusiasm is there from the fans. And I announced a couple of days ago that they're even releasing a movie, well another movie, because they've released several in the past and there was a TV show and so on. Know that Resident Evil is doing very well right now. I would highly recommend Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 7, and so on. Like check out the series if you haven't already.
PC Building Simulator
The next bit of news for today is PC Building Simulator is now available for free on the Epic Game Store, which I did say a couple of days ago, but it has done incredibly well on the Epic Game Store. It was redeemed 4 million times in 24 hours, which is one of the bigger games that have been claimed for free on the Epic Game Store. If you don't know what PC Building Simulator is, you run basically a PC repair shop and you have to fix computers, PCs as simple as that. You might have to upgrade the RAM, you might have to replace the processor, you might have to replace a graphics card and so on. And it starts simple. You literally on the first couple of computer fixes, you might have to just clean out dust or upgrade the RAM and so on. And as you build your reputation in your PC repair shop, you get more complicated orders. You have to make some decisions. You have to balance your finances as well to make sure that you're ordering in components that you need to upgrade your customers computers while also making a profit. There's a nice chill soundtrack, so it's a very fun game. I would highly recommend it and it will be available for free on the Epic Game store until the 14 October. Take advantage. It's free and it's a great game to play.
ReadySetBen Feature
And then this week's shout out is going to go to my friend ReadySetBen. He is a live streamer over on Twitch and he is a strong proponent of the LGBTQIA+ community. I needed to be very careful to make sure I said that correctly. Please check him out. He's an awesome guy. I would recommend to check out his live streams. They are very chill and also as well. I'm very proud to call him my friend. If you go see, I say hi to him, and be sure to say that I sent you as well.
