Fortnite Adding No Build Mode, Roblox Outage Update, Pessimism Feature | Gaming News

Roblox Outage Update

Hello, guys, and welcome to the Gaming News for the 31 Oct 2021. Roblox has been down for a couple of days now. On the 29 Oct 2021, the official Roblox Twitter tweeted out, "We know that you're having issues using Roblox right now. We're sorry and working hard to get things back to normal" and then a few hours later they tweeted out "Still making progress on today's outage. We will continue to keep you updated once again. We apologize for the delay. We know that this outage was not related to any specific experiences or partnerships on the platform ". That's referring to a new partnership they have going on right now with Chipotle. It was not that. And then 18 hours ago they tweeted out saying "We believe that we have identified an underlying internal cause of the outage. We're in the process of performing the necessary engineering and maintenance work. Get Roblox back up and running ASAP. Thanks for your patience." This is one of the longer outages of Roblox I've seen. Roblox is basically a platform for developing other games and millions of such games have been created on the Roblox platform already. With the central Roblox down, it means millions of gaming experiences are down at the moment as well. Hopefully they'll fix it soon and be able to get things back up and running ASAP.

Fortnite Adding No Build Mode

And then the next bit of news for today is a leak has revealed that Fortnite might be adding a No Build Game Mode. Fortnite is a battle royale game where players jump into an arena and they have to eliminate each other one at a time until the last man is standing and the size of the playable area basically shrinks in order to help speed up the process. And players can actually build structures in Fortnite so they can build up walls. They can build stairs, or they can build entire buildings. You know, real professional players can build massive structures in seconds, but the whole purpose of that is to protect their position and help them survive as long as possible. A No Build Game Mode would help it become just a pure battle royale game more like, for example, PUBG. We will see if that's a global thing or if that's just a one off mode that you can select if you want to play it. Who knows?

Pessimism Feature

And then this week's feature is going to go to my friend Pessimism. Pessimism is a speedrunner of Resident Evil games. He is a really nice guy. I first saw him when he was doing a speed run of the original Resident Evil game at GDQ, and we've been friends ever since. Shout out to Pessimism. If you go and check him out and check out his streams, then know that he holds several world records in several categories of Resident Evil. He is everything Resident Evil, so be sure to check him out. Anyway, guys, that's it for the Gaming News for today. Thank you so much. All the new followers coming onto the feed, and I will see you tomorrow. Thanks, guys. Bye bye.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have played hundreds of games in my life and have experienced truly amazing games. As time has passed and games continue to evolve, I want to share my gaming adventures with the world so you can improve your gaming experience too.

There are several gaming franchises I love experiencing a lot such as Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, God of War, Uncharted, Yakuza, Assassin's Creed, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Xenoblade Chronicles and more.

In 1997 when I was 12 years old, a class mate of mine asked me, have you ever played Final Fantasy 7? I was like no, what’s that? He lent me his copy, and I remember on the first night I escaped Midgar after not being able to put it down for 5 to 6 hours even though it was a school night. Shortly after I finished the game and my gaming obsession was truly planted.

Towards the end of 1998 I played Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time. It was a revelation to me, given its combat, story telling, music and satisfying ending. It also gave a hint of what open world could look like given how “huge” Hyrule Field was, which was massive for the time. After nearly 25 years, Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time still sits at the top of my favourite games of all time list.

When I went to University during 2003 to 2007, it was the era of Half Life 2. I remember spending a portion of my student loan so I could get a gaming pc powerful enough to play it.

During that time I also started my adventures in MMOs including Final Fantasy 11 and World of Warcraft. It amazes me that they are still online to this day.

After leaving University, I like most people ended up in the 9 to 5 cycle, after a year of being stuck in the “no job without experience, no experience without a job”. At the time I was still living with my parents and I got distracted on girls for a while. My love for gaming never ended though, with it always being a fall back for me.

In 2013, I started my first YouTube channel, as a way to also document my time in the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn. I had seen some YouTubers who made really good videos. For me, at the time, it was a hobby to do on the evening and weekends, I never went into it thinking one day it would be my job. I would have made videos, even if it made no money at all.

After 10 years of multiple jobs, living a very miserable existence in the 9 to 5 cycle, it all abruptly ended in 2018 with my disability of severe anxiety preventing me from commuting to London to work any more.

During the Pandemic, a lot of people were losing their jobs, and there was a lot more time to produce videos and play games. While growing as a content creator, I noticed my Instagram page had little to no content. One day I picked up my phone and recorded a video talking about gaming as it was my favourite hobby.

As I have now played hundreds of games and my passion has evolved for the last 30 years, I see my love for gaming lasting until the day I die. Games have made me laugh, made me cry, and everything in between. The recent price increases have definitely dampened gaming for most gamers, but I am in a privileged position as an Independent Gaming Journalist to receive a lot of games for free from developers and publishers to review.

I hope I can always bring the highest quality Gaming News every day, in digestible 1 to 1.5 minute summaries, to share the passion I have always had for it.

There is a lot more to my gaming history than what I've written above and if you want to talk to me about it feel free to pop by my Twitch Live Stream sometime and say hello!

I started in August 2013 as a hobby, and went full time during 2018.

Being a YouTuber, Streamer, or Content Creator is not the primary goal. I am working to enjoy my life and remain independent. I do not want to spend my life taking orders from other people.

I have 10 years commercial experience as a website and database developer that I can fall back on. I was able to develop this entire website using my experience.
