Roblox has been down for a couple of days now. On the 29 Oct 2021, the official Roblox Twitter tweeted out, "We know that you're having issues using Roblox right now. We're sorry and working hard to get things back to normal" and then a few hours later they tweeted out "Still making progress on today's outage. We will continue to keep you updated once again. We apologize for the delay. We know that this outage was not related to any specific experiences or partnerships on the platform ". That's referring to a new partnership they have going on right now with Chipotle. It was not that. And then 18 hours ago they tweeted out saying "We believe that we have identified an underlying internal cause of the outage. We're in the process of performing the necessary engineering and maintenance work. Get Roblox back up and running ASAP. Thanks for your patience." This is one of the longer outages of Roblox I've seen. Roblox is basically a platform for developing other games and millions of such games have been created on the Roblox platform already. With the central Roblox down, it means millions of gaming experiences are down at the moment as well. Hopefully they'll fix it soon and be able to get things back up and running ASAP. And then the next bit of news for today is a leak has revealed that Fortnite might be adding a No Build Game Mode. Fortnite is a battle royale game where players jump into an arena and they have to eliminate each other one at a time until the last man is standing and the size of the playable area basically shrinks in order to help speed up the process. And players can actually build structures in Fortnite so they can build up walls. They can build stairs, or they can build entire buildings. You know, real professional players can build massive structures in seconds, but the whole purpose of that is to protect their position and help them survive as long as possible. A No Build Game Mode would help it become just a pure battle royale game more like, for example, PUBG. We will see if that's a global thing or if that's just a one off mode that you can select if you want to play it. Who knows? And then this week's feature is going to go to my friend Pessimism. Pessimism is a speedrunner of Resident Evil games. He is a really nice guy. I first saw him when he was doing a speed run of the original Resident Evil game at GDQ, and we've been friends ever since. Shout out to Pessimism. If you go and check him out and check out his streams, then know that he holds several world records in several categories of Resident Evil. He is everything Resident Evil, so be sure to check him out.
