Red Dead Redemption Remaster, GTA 6 Development Hell, AGDQ 2022 Schedule | Gaming News

AGDQ 2022 Schedule

Hello, guys, and welcome to the Gaming News for 02 Nov 2021. AGDQ will be happening on the 09 - 16 Jan 2022, which is a speed running event to raise money for charity. A bunch of speedrunners come together to speedrun a lot of games and they generate as much money as possible, usually in the millions of dollars for charities like Doctors Without Borders. Because of the ongoing issues with the pandemic, they tweeted out saying "After much deliberation it's been decided that AGDQ 2022 will be online only for the health and safety of staff and participants. The event will take place from January 9 to the 16. Runners and Volunteers submissions opened September 24 to October 3." And they have released a schedule of 200 games they're going to be speed running for the event, which you can find at gamesdonequick.com. It's a really good event. I really like watching it and I've met some of my favorite streamers via the event as well, so it's worth checking out.

Red Dead Redemption Remaster

The next bit of news for today is apparently Red Dead Redemption, as in the first game is being remastered. Red Dead Redemption 2 has had a PC release and it's been upgraded and so on. But Red Dead Redemption 1 is still back in the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 era, so it would be nice for there to be an upgrade to the game. And with the GTA Trilogy coming out soon, Rockstar are obviously on a remaster stance at the moment, so it would be a welcome game to be remastered. I did play and finish the first Red Dead Redemption I thought was brilliant, so I would highly recommend it if you've never played it before. And hopefully we'll get news about remaster soon.

GTA 6 Development Hell

And then the last bit of news for today is Grand Theft Auto 6, which people have been waiting for, which feels like forever apparently is in development hell. There's a rumor going around that since Dan Houser left the company who was a co founder of Rockstar. The game was restarted and it's been restarted again. It's been restarted again. Apparently Rockstar feel at this point there's no point releasing information about GTA 6 in its current state because there is not enough solid information to show. Hopefully sooner than later they will be able to show more about Grand Theft Auto 6 because people have been waiting for it for a very long time. That's why people are getting angry and impatient when they see another remaster of GTA 5, for example, because they just want GTA 6. We will see if we get more information about it sooner than later. But basically it should have been obvious at this point why it's been delayed over and over again. There's obviously some sort of delay. That's why we haven't received information after nearly a decade. Anyway, guys, that's it for the Gaming News for today. Thank you so much as always for the new followers and all the engagement on these videos. And I will see you tomorrow. Thanks, guys. Bye bye.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have played hundreds of games in my life and have experienced truly amazing games. As time has passed and games continue to evolve, I want to share my gaming adventures with the world so you can improve your gaming experience too.

There are several gaming franchises I love experiencing a lot such as Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, God of War, Uncharted, Yakuza, Assassin's Creed, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Xenoblade Chronicles and more.

In 1997 when I was 12 years old, a class mate of mine asked me, have you ever played Final Fantasy 7? I was like no, what’s that? He lent me his copy, and I remember on the first night I escaped Midgar after not being able to put it down for 5 to 6 hours even though it was a school night. Shortly after I finished the game and my gaming obsession was truly planted.

Towards the end of 1998 I played Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time. It was a revelation to me, given its combat, story telling, music and satisfying ending. It also gave a hint of what open world could look like given how “huge” Hyrule Field was, which was massive for the time. After nearly 25 years, Zelda 64 Ocarina of Time still sits at the top of my favourite games of all time list.

When I went to University during 2003 to 2007, it was the era of Half Life 2. I remember spending a portion of my student loan so I could get a gaming pc powerful enough to play it.

During that time I also started my adventures in MMOs including Final Fantasy 11 and World of Warcraft. It amazes me that they are still online to this day.

After leaving University, I like most people ended up in the 9 to 5 cycle, after a year of being stuck in the “no job without experience, no experience without a job”. At the time I was still living with my parents and I got distracted on girls for a while. My love for gaming never ended though, with it always being a fall back for me.

In 2013, I started my first YouTube channel, as a way to also document my time in the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn. I had seen some YouTubers who made really good videos. For me, at the time, it was a hobby to do on the evening and weekends, I never went into it thinking one day it would be my job. I would have made videos, even if it made no money at all.

After 10 years of multiple jobs, living a very miserable existence in the 9 to 5 cycle, it all abruptly ended in 2018 with my disability of severe anxiety preventing me from commuting to London to work any more.

During the Pandemic, a lot of people were losing their jobs, and there was a lot more time to produce videos and play games. While growing as a content creator, I noticed my Instagram page had little to no content. One day I picked up my phone and recorded a video talking about gaming as it was my favourite hobby.

As I have now played hundreds of games and my passion has evolved for the last 30 years, I see my love for gaming lasting until the day I die. Games have made me laugh, made me cry, and everything in between. The recent price increases have definitely dampened gaming for most gamers, but I am in a privileged position as an Independent Gaming Journalist to receive a lot of games for free from developers and publishers to review.

I hope I can always bring the highest quality Gaming News every day, in digestible 1 to 1.5 minute summaries, to share the passion I have always had for it.

There is a lot more to my gaming history than what I've written above and if you want to talk to me about it feel free to pop by my Twitch Live Stream sometime and say hello!

I started in August 2013 as a hobby, and went full time during 2018.

Being a YouTuber, Streamer, or Content Creator is not the primary goal. I am working to enjoy my life and remain independent. I do not want to spend my life taking orders from other people.

I have 10 years commercial experience as a website and database developer that I can fall back on. I was able to develop this entire website using my experience.
